National Hunting & Fishing Day September 27,2008 this is a day we as American’s celebrate our hunting and fishing heritage. I urge all families to take time to set this day aside to enjoy the great outdoors,for as Americans we are truly blessed.
I am a North Carolina resident living in Carolina Beach,N.C. I know from a life time of hunting and fishing that,we should not take the outdoors for granted,but should do our part to pass on this wonderful heritage for our children to enjoy.

Red Drum bite along the Cape Fear River is still going strong with large slot size fish being caught fishing with Capt.Mike Dennis the Cape Fear Guide. This guide is consistanly putting his charter clients on some outstanding red drum action. Tropical storm Hanna has not hurt the red fish bite at all,tides are not yet back to normal but the fish are biting well.
